Fanlisting

"A fanlisting is a web clique that lists fans of a particular subject. Unlike most web cliques, a person does not need a web site in order to join. Fans from around the world submit their information to their approved fanlisting and they are then listed to show their love for the subject." (taken from TheFanlistings.org)

So, that's what a fanlisting is: a list of fans. In this case, a list of Paul fans - you submit your information (name or nickname, e-mail adress, country and website if you have one) using the join form and I add you to the list as soon as I can update. And you'll be there unless you ask to be removed. It's a little like a fanclub, actually... you join because you want to show you're a fan, and because you want to know other people who have your same interests. Keep in mind, though, that this is an unofficial site. Is the one and only Paul Landers fanlisting listed at TheFanlistings.org, but it doesn't mean it's official or approved by Paul himself. Joining is absolutely FREE; you won't receive any mails from me after joining, unless you sign in for the updates mailing list. And if I move the site, I'll let you know too, so you can update your links & bookmarks - but that's all, so you don't have to worry about spam, I won't bother you :)

Why Paul?

When now I'm asked about who are my fav Rammstein members, my immediate answer is "Olli and Paul". In no particular order, I could say, though Olli has been my soft spot since I found about Rammstein some years ago, and I've started liking Paul (specially, I mean ;)) more recently. I know it sounds funny, because they seem to be completely opposites, but I really like them both the same :)

I've always thought Paul has to be a very funny and friendly person and, from what I know, really nice with the fans too. Actually what I love about him the most is his sense of humor... almost every time I've bursted out laughing while watching a Rammstein interview/making of has been because of him. I can't help it :) Besides, the fact that he's always smiling and doesn't seem to be able to remain quiet and silent for more than... half a minute, makes him look a little like a child, sometimes. And I think he's so cute because of that too, maybe because I'm a little like this myself, who knows ;)

I like a lot Paul's energy on stage as well - he never stops bouncing, comes closer to the audience quite often and you really can see he's enjoying the show, playing as good as he can, doing his best. And he's a great gitarist, I've attended two Rammstein concerts and I can tell you how great is watching (and listening, of course!) him play. What's amusing though is how different he is depending if he's onstage or offstage... Because, we all know all the Rammstein members like to act as bad guys in their concerts, is part of the show. But Paul's case is speacially odd... because in concert he's deadly serious most of the time, usually doesn't say a word either, and looks even scary (specially when he stands there with his arms crossed staring at the audience with that cold look, like in LAB). And offstage he's always talking, joking and smiling, looking really warm and friendly. It almost seems he has a split personality problem ;)

When I recently searched for some Paul shrines, I was really surprised to find just one (this one), plus another one I already knew about Paul and Richard that hasn't been updated for ages. I thought there were more Paul fans out there... Maybe they are, but they don't have time/don't feel like making a website. Or maybe is because people prefer to make sites about Rammstein as a band rather than about only one of the Rammstein members... but anyway, I can't stay here and do nothing by myself. And that's why I've decided to make this little (really little and not specially good, I know, but it will look better soon :P) fansite, that also includes the fanlisting.

And I guess you're also a Paul fan too, otherwise you wouldn't be still reading ;) So, take a look around, feel free to contribute if you have pictures, quotes or anything, please don't forget to join the fanlisting... enjoy your visit, and for any comments or questions, don't hesitate to contact me :)

Site

This site was launched on December 9th, 2004. The current layout has been made some random live pics of Paul, I don't know exactly where they're from or where I found them (except for the one in the right, that is from the Live aus Berlin CD booklet). The fonts used are Impact (for the layout itself), Georgia (for the text) and Verdana (for the disclaimer below).

As the disclaimer at the bottom of every page says and as I've said again a few lines up, this is an unofficial site. So this means I'm just a fan, I'm not Paul (of course not!) and I don't have any connections with him, either.

All the pics I've used in this site and the ones in the gallery are a) screenshots taken by myself or b) have been found in other fansites, where they were free for the taking, from what I know.
